Return of the Son

It's a story many of us know too well. It was a parable Jesus told, and in many ways it summarizes the whole Bible. The son takes his father's wealth, an early inheritance, squanders it, hits bottom, and in desperation returns to his father, who has been hoping for his return and welcomes him with open arms. For many, it's a story of hope. For some of us, it's history.
