The Incline is a hiking trail that was originally a funicular railway (built in 1907) up the slope of Mount?Manitou (near Manitou Springs/Colorado Springs).
After a rockslide in 1990 damaged the original rail line, it became unused as a railway and later was converted legally for hiking in February 2013.
