My calendar says it’s “Easter Monday.”\u00a0 That’s a new one for me, but why not extend the most significant holiday there is? I didn’t make this new painting with that specifically in mind, but it fits.

\nA pastor friend suggested I paint Jesus after his resurrection. \u201cHow would I do that?\u201d I asked. He said, \u201cMaybe in the garden.\u201d So I did, the moment Mary encountered him. Never expecting, she thought he was the gardener . . . until he said her name. That’s the moment I painted.
