“Movement in Cadmium” and “San Juan Vaquero”

May 13th, 2008 18 Comments

We left off last time with my introducing a new genre, “Women from the Back.” I showed a couple, along with the drawings that preceded them. In this issue I show another, one that I didn’t see coming myself. It’s pretty dramatic. Then there’s another large piece, from an altogether different genre, “Cowboys from the Side”? Take a five-minute look and tell me what you think. PS I’ll be in Boca Raton, Florida this week, doing some painting as “performance.” Maybe more on that another day…

From Drawings to Paintings, and “Living the Promise”

We’ve been grateful for the response to the first blog, published two weeks ago. It was about drawing and how that’s generally the basis for painting. Take a moment to enjoy the art.

Hello friends. Here’s our first attempt at a blog. It’s designed as part of the Hyatt Moore website. Click on the link here for a full look/read. There may be glitches; but with your patience we’ll get them worked out as we go. Note, too, the mention at the bottom of a couple of current shows. It’s all a way to stay updated, and to stay in touch. HM
