{"id":5121,"date":"2013-01-03T10:00:13","date_gmt":"2013-01-03T18:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hyattmoore.com\/blank-slate\/?p=5121"},"modified":"2015-05-05T15:04:35","modified_gmt":"2015-05-05T22:04:35","slug":"words-progression","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hyattmoore.com\/blank-slate\/2013\/01\/03\/words-progression\/","title":{"rendered":"Words Progression"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><\/h6>\n<p><strong>Words from a wise man&#8217;s mouth are gracious, but a fool is consumed by his own lips.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>At the beginning his words are folly; at the end they are wicked madness . . . a<\/strong><strong>nd the fool multiplies words.*<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s something to remember: Everything in life is moving in some sort of progression. And the final destination has everything to do with the initial direction.<\/p>\n<p>Thus: Words that start with an early twist will end in a hopeless knot . . . and the fool doesn&#8217;t know when to quit.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m convinced words are the most powerful things we have.<br \/>\nUsed wrong, they&#8217;re also the most dangerous.<\/p>\n<p>The tongue&#8217;s not just a fire, it&#8217;s a flame thrower.\u00a0One that backfires, burning up the shooter.<\/p>\n<p>The words of the wise are cool water.\u00a0Quenching everyone&#8217;s thirst . . . and fire.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of words&#8217; progression,\u00a0I&#8217;m reminded of a Robert Frost quote:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em> A poem begins in delight<br \/>\nand ends in wisdom.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And wisdom is it&#8217;s own delight.<br \/>\n(I said that.)<\/p>\n<p>Measure your words; by them we are measured by everyone else.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>_______________<\/p>\n<p>*Ecclesiastes 10:12-14<br \/>\nNext:<em> Be Slow on the Draw.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Words: The most powerful things we have . . . for good or for ill.
