<\/a><\/p>\nArt, it seems, is man’s part.<\/p>\n
Looking down at the ground,
\nout on a walk
\non a road unpaved\u00a0but for small stones,
\nI remark to Anne
\nthat there’s more art here
\nthan in any museum or gallery.<\/p>\n
But then I correct myself.
\nThis is not art.
\nArt is rather a rearrangement of things,
\naesthetically (or not).
\nIt’s man’s part.<\/p>\n
It’s beauty that’s here, in the stones on the road.
\nMore of that, with wonder,
\nthan in any museum or gallery.
\nBut, art, that’s what we do with it!!!<\/p>\n
Now, later, having said all that, I look again and see
\nthe arrangement of trees,
\noften in long lines
\nby wind and bird-planted seeds,
\nmaking uniform pattern
\nset in fields of blond-beige grasses,
\nalso patterned,
\nand this set below mountains and hills
\nblue in their distance,
\nall under sky of first one color then another,
\nthe light and the clouds changing both it (the sky)
\nand everything\u00a0on the ground.<\/p>\n
And I perceive that it’s all of a harmony,
\nwith nothing that doesn’t work,
\nand working with the rest !!!<\/p>\n
It’s not just about beauty and wonder and dismissive non-art,
\nbut that there is intentionality here,
\na mind and a hand.<\/p>\n
So, returning to basics and child-like belief, I pray,
\nFather, You are the Artist.
\nYou say you’re in me
\n(I say it too)
\nThen work your art through me (and in).
\nLet’s do something together.<\/p>\n
And when it’s finished, let’s call it \u201cgood.\u201d<\/p>\n
Do you see what I mean, about the lines, horizontal and vertical, and the colors kept in their places?<\/p>\n Here the shadows cast the design, thanks to the sun and its angle.<\/p>\n Speaking of sun, sometimes it paints directly, overwhelming all.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
