The Season’s Angels

posted December 17th, 2010 by

Here’s a quick greeting to all our friends at the close of another great year. A year of life and art, of selling and buying, of receiving and sharing. It’s a back and forth process, like breathing. And we can be grateful for another year of that, too.

Nine-Angels

The Announcing Angel, oil on canvas, 8.5×6.5, For best view, click, and click again.

The image here is an assemblage of a number that came together this season with spirited wisps and rich, thick paint. I call them “The Announcing Angel.” It was the first Christmas greeting, and it wasn’t “Happy Holidays.” In fact, we have the quote, roughly  “I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people . . . Today your savior is born, Christ the Lord.” Believing that changed those shepherds’ lives, as it has everyone who has taken that seriously since. It’s another thing we’re grateful for. Not just life, but life in its fullness.

And we’re grateful for our friends.  Until next year . . . keep breathing.  Keep believing.

Hyatt and Anne Moore

Beautiful. Full of fire and spirit, they look as if they are still advancing. No wonder the shepherds were awestruck! Blessings to you and Anne this Christmas!

Wonderful image. This give a sense of the grandeur of the angelic visit. If you ever did such a thing I’d buy cards with this as the cover, blank right side interior and the verse on the left side.

Beautiful angels Hyatt! They seem to have been captured in an instant of mystical inspiration. I liked them all. The third one in particular. Save him for my flight to heaven please. I wish you and the Hyatt dynasty a very happy Christmas Season. It`s always exciting and rewarding to follow your new accomplishments. Un abrazo navideño para ti y Anita. Luis Mario

    Hyatt and Anne,

Merry Christmas to you and your family. The angels are so beautiful; just ready to come and get us and take us home to be with God and Jesus. Even so come Lord Jesus. Your paintings are so real and you should put some out as Christmas Cards. Have a great season.

These angels are in motion, alive and teeming with the Good News! Thank you, Anne and Hyatt, for the rich dimension and warmth you bring to the art community. We second the vote for cards with these images. What they communicate to us is an invitation to engage, the very message accomplished through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. Merry Christmas to you both!

What beauty you portray in your paintings! It is is such a great thing when God gives us gifts . . . but even greater when others enjoy those gifts with you. Thank you! Wishing you and Ann a blessed Christmas! (Mark is still talking about getting our 15-year-old granddaughter, Taylor, to see you and Ann. They live in the San Diego area. Taylor is really progressing in her art.)

Just wonderful, or may I say, Full of Wonder! This is a touchdown in art. You scored. Would love to see the original, just like the Last Supper scene.

You did it again Hyatt. I love the way you paint. There is so much movement in these paintings. It’s as if the illuminating angels are flapping their wings and are suspended in space. You always use your talent praising God in your work.

Hyatt, Your gift is truly beautiful and gracious, made all the more special by your deep appreciation of the spiitual realm. I see from the comments above that Luis likes the third one in particular. That angel is simply amazing. Should you tell Luis or should I that I think that angel arrived in my home today! What an amazing way to end one year and start another!! With buckets of love to you and Anne and hoping our paths will cross again soon. Email you seperately! Ken.
